Atamo increases share in Bushcomm
The Swan Valley, WA

After a very successful twelve months Atamo Pty Ltd has increased its majority shareholding in Bushcomm . In November 2006 Atamo obtained controlling interest, and provided management expertise with Mark Callaghan and Andrew Holmes as general manager and operations manager, respectively. Founders Graham and Carol Robinson remain prominently engaged in the company, but the addition of Atamo has freed up Graham for further product and market development. Bushcomm

The high demand for Bushcomm's quality products has continued, and so Mark and Andrew began implementing improvements in productivity. These included: purchase of an inventory management software package, increased use of MYOB accounting software, streamlining activity on the factory floor, and development of manufacturing robots for some of the high-profile, but also labour-intensive products.

This trend will continue in 2008 as Atamo applies more resources in further robot and business process development. Bushcomm is preparing an application for a federal Commercial Ready grant, and planning market expansion in the defence and resource sectors.

"This past year was a watershed one for both our companies", says Andrew Holmes, "a lot of work, but a lot of reward. And everything is in place for 2008 to be even bigger."
