Atamo extends track record to investments

Atamo directors take controlling interest in Bushcomm

HERNE HILL, WA – 20 November 2006

Perth-based technology management and design company Atamo Pty Ltd (www.atamo.com.au) has acquired a controlling shareholding in antenna design and manufacturing company Bushcomm (www.bushcomm.com). Bushcomm is a highly respected supplier of high frequency (HF) and ultra high frequency (UHF) antennas to radio manufacturers, the amateur radio operator market and to military and government clients in Australia, the USA, Europe and the South Pacific.

Atamo CEO Stewart Snell said “We initiated a search for a potential acquisition around this time last year. We were looking for a business that had an established customer base, with potential to grow. Above all we wanted to find a business we felt could benefit from engineering and management skills we could offer. Bushcomm met all these criteria.”Bushcomm antenna

The Atamo shareholders formed a new business structure with the existing Bushcomm shareholders and transferred the assets of the company into the new business. The new company, Bushcomm 2006 Pty Ltd, will continue to operate the business, trading as Bushcomm.

Bushcomm founder Graham Robinson said “We are very pleased to welcome the Atamo shareholders as the majority shareholders in the new structure. We built this business as a family business over the last 18 years, and it was the right time to create the basis for further long-term growth. The technical and professional skills that Atamo brings will help the company achieve its full potential, and gives us the opportunity to retain an interest in the business and to help it grow.”
