Services provided

An intensive investigation involving all Atamo principals looked at the feasibility of creating a new product for China's all-digital, all-IP next generation network. This included product development estimates and cost to manufacture, and the way to stage the requirements over a number of releases (a "product rollout").

We delivered:

  • A comprehensive requirements specification, indicating release version against each statement
  • A project plan, including resources required and timing of the phases
  • A recommended course of action as an input to their business strategy

Benefits to our client

Although this client is best of breed in network systems, they are light on developing new products of this magnitude. The Atamo team's experience in telecoms allowed us to assess the task from many angles: capacity, manufacturability, ability to manage the device, pricing, and competitive offerings. In return Atamo gained an appreciation for the new infrastructure being built, and the state-of-the-art that will emerge in China this decade.
